Indonesia has been inhabited for 500,000 years ago by the “Java Man”, a form of Homo erectus. Later, came the Papuans, who was followed by the Malays, Javanese and Polynesians.

In the sixteenth century, the territory was occupied by the Majapahit Empire. Soon came the Muslims.
